Hey, glad to see your story back.
The peeping master have her own role and a little story :P
Those were nice room decoration just like usual, you made it looks like a real home!
And as always I loved the details on your story, I even don't know what Azalea is or Rosebush is. I usually called them flower or bush ::)
May I ask you questions?
1. What is MDS? Is that a title related just like someone when they are graduated? Or it's related to the "curiosity" part?
2. Would you mind to tell me what kind of tale that behind America name as your founder? I found this interesting.

Thank you all for your kind support!

Eldridge-
1. MDS - It stands for "Mail Delivery Specialist", a title I made up for my mail carriers. Originally I wrote out "Elizabeth Meade, Mail Delivery Specialist", but I didn't like the long chapter title. "Elizabeth Meade, MDS" sounded kind of official, but also kind of silly. So I used that instead. (I accidentally drank caffeine, could not sleep, and wrote that chapter at about four in the morning. Things got really silly.)

2. America's name - I've always liked names ending in "-ica", so that was probably involved. America Snow version 1 was the ninth of 24 kids in my Baby Boomer challenge file. I don't know why I named her America--almost all the other names I used were really normal.

America Snow (version 1) was the biggest troublemaker in my Baby Boomer house--always getting into and touching things she shouldn't. (Great qualities for an immortal dynasty founder, right? <cringe>) Then she would make charming violet-eyed expressions at me, and I would sigh and forgive her. Since I liked her for some reason (I could not say that about most of my Baby Boomer kids!), I decided a similar Sim would make a good immortal founder. I didn't want to mess around too much with whatever magic formula made me like her--so I kept the strange name.

America version 1 was a gardener, and twins with Samantha Snow, a writer. If I recall correctly, America was the only kid the game decided to marry off after leaving my Baby Boomer house. She married her girlfriend, Eliza Ursine.

America Snow in this story is the third revision of her. (Version 2 failed at the dynasty.) America has mostly different traits here, and she has some changes to her appearance, although the skin/hair/eye color remain the same.

What a fun way to get an outside look at the family! I actually lost it when she went on about them being a cult. It's shocking how few people running into dynasties come to that conclusion.

I also forgot to comment on America's wedding. Aging up to elder on your wedding night sounds cruel. :P

I know, right :( The wedding was a snap decision, on both her part (she got a wish that morning) and mine.

At least I don't mind being cruel to America (occasionally). She's a bit cruel herself sometimes.

America did everything a bit later in life than I intended. I don't know where all that early adulthood time went! I'm getting a little worried. Despite being an Elder already and having only one skill (level 10 Gardening), she hasn't started the Omni plant chain yet. I intended her to supermax Gardening. Her Elder portrait is half painted and the other requirements are done, Ambrosia is ready to cook...so I'm just waiting on the pesky Omni plant. (Hopefully not too many best friends die while I wait!)

I noticed your story yesterday and ended up reading through the entire thing! It is lengthy, but you're definitely doing something right - I thought the confrontation where Kara accuses America of wanting to kill Christopher was incredibly well-written, and your character development in general is excellent. I approve of America's architect/midwife/event planner/whatever else s/he may end up doing. ;)

Regarding Ambitions, see if you can find the register in community objects the next time you feel like editing the beach you bought (or any other lot you buy) - I have a feeling it won't be there since not all registers in the different EPs can be placed that way, but it couldn't hurt to look. Worse comes to worst, it's not like it was an option for you when you first started your dynasty anyway so you can live without it. Ambitions is by far my favorite EP, even if it did come with the base game version I bought when I started - I don't know that I'd want to play without it personally (even without the consignment store, despite how nifty it is).

Lastly, I'm sorry about Christopher not being able to be a firefighter, but there's always ghosthunting. :)

Chapter 17: Now There Are Two Kinds of Snow

America: A strange new phenomenon called “weather” has come to Sunset Valley, and on our first night of this “weather”, it rained.

“Weather” makes the house seem even cozier, brighter, and warmer inside. We like weather!

The television covers this “weather” 24 hours a day. Will our future be full of rainbows?

I learned to wear my bathing suit in hot weather, and I got a tan. I think. Well, I believed I was more tan for the next 24 hours.

Agnes: The weather came with a problem. It caused my easel to get stuck to my arm and fingers. See it? I could not do anything to remove it! I tried everything. Alas, my easel is a permanent part of me now.

Days later, I began to accept the stuck easel. (I note I was also getting really tired of leftover lobster...) I have decided to follow the advice of America's architect, and think of the stuck easel as a “feature”.

America: Yeah, so....gardening in a hailstorm sounded fun at first. But, life lesson here! See those white golf-ball things on the right? By the daisies? Those are called “hail”. “Hail” is hard. It feels like someone high in the sky is throwing baseballs at you.

In some universes, nothing the sky can throw at you will ever hurt. This is not one of those universes. I don't think I'll be going out in weird weather again.

Christopher: While everyone else explored the new weather, I studied hard and learned a very special recipe.

Here it is:

I am also looking into how to get a nice rainbow device, like our new mail delivery specialist has:

The rainbow device should protect us from all the hailstones, water, and white bolts of burning pain that fall from the sky now.

Speaking of mail delivery specialists, Elizabeth Meade (see previous chapter) seems to have been fired from her job. This happened along with the onset of weather. I felt really bad about that and phoned her up, but she said, “Stop bothering me!” and kept hanging up on me.

Everyone was sad to hear that. Especially our architect.

America: I haven't had my ambrosia yet. I may have maxed my Gardening skill too quickly. I have been waiting to start my Omni plant chain opportunities for my entire life. This is not good.

My best friends have been dying, in the meantime. Now I need to focus on improving my relationships with younger people.

So I had a mid-life crisis. I have stopped being a workaholic, and now I am athletic instead. I will try to exercise my way to (backup) supermax success while I wait for the Omni plant opportunities to come, if they ever do.

I invited Sandi out to the park. When I saw those soccer balls, I couldn't resist.

Don't underestimate this old lady, Sandi!

The next day, I spent the day at the festival with another young friend, Mortimer. In retrospect, it probably wasn't very friendly to knock Mortimer flat on his rear with a surprise water balloon. But it was fun...

I told Kara about all the fun she could have at the summer festival in the park. I also cautioned her to be careful about roller skates. Roller skates are fun, but falling is not. Broken fingers are even less fun.

The person I should really have warned about roller skates, it turns out, is Christopher.

Who would have guessed...

On his birthday, Christopher insisted not only on roller skating all day, but on wearing his pajamas all day as well.

I'm just going to complain a little bit about my husband for a moment.

Well...no, never mind. It's still our honeymoon.

Ahem. So, on the morning of Kara's teen birthday, we hung her portrait in the museum:

We decided the excitement of the fancy new weather counted as a birthday party.

Kara needs a slightly more grown up room, now. Her favorite color is spice brown, but I have decided there are too many brown rooms in the house already. So we're working with a bold raspberry theme for Kara's room. It's nearly done—we should be able to show it off next time.

And here is a photo of my—our—daughter Kara, grown up to be a teenager!

I was worried Kara would get all of Christopher's looks and none of mine. Well, her eyes and skin tone are all Christopher. I don't know where her nose and that brow arch came from—but there is my mouth! (Not to mention my hair color, of course.) Hooray!

And now all three adults are elders, as well:
