Chapter One - Awakening

Pug woke. That he woke at all startled him enormously. Until a few moments ago, he was dead. He died so his son would live. He looked around, he found himself on a large empty plot of land, with views down to the ocean. There was naught on this land except a letterbox and a rubbish can. In his pocket, he had a device that ... he looked at it and shrugged, he'd examine it further later. He had a wand in his other hand, that surprised him. He remembered not having to use a wand to cast magic before. He also found that he had a broom, and after a bit of examination, he realized that it could fly.

"Not as good as one of those orbs," he muttered to himself, "but it'd do."

"So, what now," he mused.

"Now, you must find her," a voice replied. That voice came from his pocket.

He reached in to the pocket and pulled out ... the device that he was looking at earlier. It was white in colour, it had buttons on it, and some glass on it.

"Are you trapped in this device?" Pug asked.

"No, I am the camera, Pug Condoin," the voice replied, "and I brought you here."

"I was dead, I made a deal, I would die so that my son, Magnus would live," Pug protested, "return me to death."

"No, you will live, and if you do what I say, all of your children and their children and grandchildren will live ... together ... forever," the voice answered.

"But Caleb, Gamina, William, Arutha all died," Pug protested again.

"I offer you the chance to return them to life, to live with you, Pug. You will experience many things, and while some of them may be hard, you'll be richer for it," the voice continued.

Pug sighed and said, "ok, I'll do it. What do I do first?"

"There is a lady in town you need to meet, Pug Condoin. She will appear to be a stranger, but you and her, you'll both connect. You'll know her the moment you lay eyes on her and she'll know you. She'll help you," the voice said, "your broom will take you there."

He got on his broom and headed off following the directions that were given to him. Eventually he approached a house with a white vehicle out the front of it. Outside the front of the house was a woman dressed fully in black. His heart missed a beat when he saw her. "Katala," he murmured, even though he knew she didn't appear the same, the spirit of his long deceased wife was in her. The woman looked cautiously at him as he approached and when he was right in front of her, she said, "we have so much in common, I'd really love to get to know you better."

[Swirl-Girl]

  Oh my watcher, that last line! I cracked up! I've got my eyes on you!

I know, Swirl-Girl, me too.

Katala (Agnes) actually did say that to him. Of course, I gave him bookworm as a trait and that helped with them hitting it off, I think.

I had advanced quite far - pregnancy for generation 2 was underway in game (and I had completed half of his black ops, had six best friends, the parents of gen 2's wife were also expecting (and part of the household) and he had almost supermaxed alchemy), but then the game froze. Typical, really.

So, when I returned I discovered that my last save was before any of the black ops were completed, anyone other than Agnes had moved in, and so forth. I adjusted my record of Pug's advancement here and am saving more frequently.

So I'm trying to get back to a somewhat similar place in game.

I just have to find the sim that was the father of gen 2's wife before all of that can happen again. The original mother of gen 2's wife was found in almost the same position in this version of the game as in the previous version. I think she got the same 5th trait as in the previous version, however she ended up with a different LTW assigned by the game - Degree Master instead of the top of the Medical Career one.

Updates of the story will come once I get somewhere near that same position, and after pictures are added to chapter one. My computer is difficult when it comes to pictures, plus some of my pictures relate to the advancement in the story that isn't part of this version of the saved game.

This time though, I have bought Gen 1's property and business requirements. He bought the Sunset Valley fishing spot across the road from the dynasty house. I've discovered two things:

1) All in one bathroom doesn't meet the requirements for toilets/sinks.
2) When you buy the toilet and sink, you can stick them in a 2 square basement and that meets those requirements.

At 4.5k or so simeloens each, all in one bathrooms are a great way of meeting the price upgrade requirements.

Chapter Two - Reunion

"Yes, we do, we have a lot in common, Katala," Pug replied.

"My name is Agnes, not Katala," the woman replied, but she wasn't sounding too certain as she said that.

"Are you certain about that?" he asked kindly, "and do you tell everyone you meet that you have a lot in common?"

"No, no I'm not, and no I'm don't," Agnes replied, giving him another look, "and I do feel that I know you, Pug ConDoin."

"A long time ago, Katala, we were married, on a different world, on the world of your birth. Then, we travelled to my world," Pug told her, "we had a son and adopted a daughter. Our daughter married and gave us grandchildren and great grandchildren."

"William ... and Ganima .... Jimmy," she looked at him, "I thought those were dreams. Oh Pug!"

"I want to return them to life, all of them, but I need help, will you help, Katala?" Pug asked, his hope in his expression and his face.

"Of course I will, Pug," she replied, "I know all of this was wrong, and now, I see why I knew that. I am Katala Crumplebottom, about to becoe Mrs Pug ConDoin. Let's get to our home and sell my car, so I can get to sculpting clay."

"I think we can bypass the need for you to sculpt in clay and move onto the ice from the get go, Katala," Pug said, "science, brain enhancement and personality adjustment are wonderful things, are they not."

"Oh my Pug, they are," Katala replied, "and don't forget to get me a multtab so i can learn photography while painting or sculpting."

"You know all of this then?" Pug asked.

"Yes, I've been in so many of these attempts, successful and otherwise, including many done by your Watcher, those fall into the 'otherwise' category."

To note ...
I used the proceeds of the sale of Agnes' car to build a rather simple house and put a number (7 or 8, I think) base level brain machines, 1 top level brain machine, 1 sculpting station, 1 alchemy station, 1 alchemy cupboard, 1 double bed, an all in one bathroom, table and chairs, and a top of the line stove, fridge, chopper, bench spaces, chocolate fountain and radio in the house. Agnes went to the top level machine, changed her traits and name, then went to each of the other machines and got up to the needed number to do ice sculptures from the start. Once she had finished with the base level brain machines, those were sold, however I kept the 2.0 version, and used those funds to build the first level of my house, and get some other things, preparing for the others who'd join us.

While Katala (Agnes) sculpted, Pug spammed the alchemy station and hit the alchemy shop to get potent invigorating elixirs/invigorating elixirs for Katala to get through the sculptures quicker.

Time for this tribble to get to work.
