Houseboats in other towns
« on: January 18, 2014, 08:26:07 AM »
I'm not sure if this question should be here or the Discussion Board so I guess if it is in the wrong spot can it be moved?

I have searched and can't find the information that I need, which is can a houseboat be moved around in other towns?  I know I can put a port say in SV, but can I move the houseboat around, and is it worth it to do so?
In Riverview, what about the bridges, can the smaller houseboats go under the bridges, or none at all?  And is the river too narrow for a houseboat to travel down it?  And other towns with rivers and bridges, MV and DV have rivers with bridges also.
I think it would be nice to have a houseboat on the lake in MF, but would it be possible to have one there, even if it was never driven around?

I know you can move a houseboat around the river in Riverview as I built one there, you cannot however go past any bridges, they are fake and are actually land with a bridge facing on, I put a port at the tip of the island behind the Gazebo and I could move around between the bridges only, although with cheats you can teleport a houseboat the same way you can a sim by shift clicking the water to get past a bridge if you wanted.

I had some pictures of it I think I posted them in the first impressions thread but here's one of them.

Been a while since I looked at Monte Vista but I recall those bridges being open and passable, only just got Dragon Valley and not played there much but I think I remember those were open as well.

I have a feeling I tried to put a lot on the lake in moonlight falls and couldn't, but I was trying to put it right out in the water, at the edge for a port might be possible.
