Beautifully Decorated in Isla Paradiso

I've never seen this happen before - on the first day, my sims recieved the beautifully decorated moodlet from four trees on their lot. Without changing anything, by the second day it is just 'decorated'. If I replace the trees with new ones, it is still only 'decorated'. What happened?!
