Can you purchase a new code for a used game, if so how do you start?

It is the dolt here again, although I am here with a bit more Sims experience this round.  I bought an "accidental" used Dragon Valley game....which the code is unusable (of course!). Someone told me that you can buy a new code from EA. I have tried to contact EA to ask..but their webpage only loads 1/2 the way. I am so frustrated with their customer service anyway...but that is another story. I would like to inquire as to how to go about obtaining a new code and a price range...or I may have an expensive Frisbee. I always appreciate everyone's help, as well as your patience. Thanks in advance!

I think you have to talk to EA to do that. The original serial code would need to be invalidated so that if the previous user had it registered, they couldn't just download a digital copy, and to prevent them from registering it in the future using that original code if they have not done so already.

I found the "live chat" to be very useful. I recently got the Sims and LN and a couple of stuff packs. One of them said I'd get 1000 Simpoints for registering, but I only got 500. So I used the EA live chat and they fixed the problem (and also gave me a bonus 500 points, too). I did have problems with the live chat dropping out a couple of times, but I managed to reconnect easily.

Try contacting Origin as they helped me with a similar problem. I had stopped playing for a few years and was unable to re-register my game, but they came up with a solution for me. They will even call you back if you leave them your number to reach you! Who does that these days?? The only drawback was that I had to download everything off their website, but at least I don't have to use discs anymore... and you can redownload it anytime from their website. I also got the sim points added to my account for the registration like it was brand new. Woohoo!!
