A question about the forum

I was not sure where to post this, so I thought I'd post it here. I apologize if it's in the wrong forum.
When I am about to post something, I often see "Warning: This thread has not been posted on for over 60 days. Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic."
Can I still post on those threads? I'm a little confused.

Old threads die and whither away. It's normal. So, that message is just a built in way of double checking with you if you're sure you want to revive an old thread. It's okay and you can do it, just keep in mind some of the posts and content in the thread may be quite dated.
