Coming back from university

Every time the loading screen comes up for me to go home from university my game closes down. When my sister came back uni she had no problem. ( we play on the same laptop) HELP!

I have a couple of questions.  Have you tried doing the same thing with another Sim to see if the game crashes?  Also, does this crashing only happen for you when your Sim is returning from University?

How many times has it crashed when your Sim tries to come home?

First time I went to uni it was fine

What I mean is, have you reloaded the game and tried again?  If so how many times have you done that and it has crashed?

5 times, it happens every time

I had this recently myself, every time I tried to travel the game crashed within seconds. I tried all sorts of things and eventually discovered it was a problem with the file itself, which couldn't be fixed. Have you tried loading a new family and travelling? You may have the same problem as me.

My sister plays the same game as me and hers work, so maybe that's the problem. What is this file thing?

Each time you start a game, it creates a file on your computer.  So, when you launch the game and select your family to play, you're accessing that file.  Sometimes a file can get corrupt and there's nothing that will fix it.
