Hi fellow Sims fans! I'm at my wits end with the game though right now, and I need any possible help.
I had to reset my laptop back to an earlier date which wiped all my sims games off. Before this reset, all the games were playing fine and everything was working normally.
I reinstalled the base game and 5 expansion packs this morning. When I played the game the town map was grey and flickering (I couldn't see any of the houses or lots) and whenever I fiddled with the settings, they wouldn't save at all.
I uninstalled everything again and have tried each expansion pack one at a time with the base game, all are not saving settings and have a grey flickering map.
Is there anything I can do? I've played around with the options document in the 'Sims bin' I have on my laptop, nothing has worked. I've changed my resolutions on my laptop and lowered it, but nothing has worked. My settings won't save at all on the game, and I'm just really frustrated now as I'm unsure what is causing the problem. It's a fairly new laptop (around 6 months old).
