So my latest game in Twinbrook is not going so well! Mainly due to the fact that the Sim assigned to be the tattoo artist in the salon isn't considered a "real" Sim and doesn't have all the usual functionality. Let me explain....
My young Sim, Tori, got herself a boyfriend, Shark Racket. He was unemployed. Tori made friends with the tattoo artist in the salon. One day, the tattoo artist dies, so the salon needs a new tattoo artist...guess who they pick? Shark Racket - Tori's boyfriend.
So I try to invite Shark over and he always says, "I'm at work and I don't know when I'll be done." Finally, one day I get him to come over late one evening and then he suddenly disappears (I don't mean walks out of the house, I mean literally vanishes) because he needs to be back at work, I guess. All of the serious romance options don't work: it's impossible to woohoo, try for baby, ask him to move in, get engaged. Nothing works. Tori throws a party one night, and surprisingly Shark does show up, but he leaves immediately with the "Your party sucks" message, presumably because he needed to go back to the salon.
Needless to say, this relationship isn't working out, so I try to get Tori to break up with him, and guess what?? Even "breaking up" isn't an option! Apparently the tattoo artist doesn't have all the functions a "normal" sim does. Finally, one day, Shark somehow loses his job as tattoo artist, and the option to "break up" is available again. He and Tori have a huge fight, and she gets out of the nightmare relationship.
The moral of the story? Don't get involved with the tattoo artist, it just leads to heartbreak! (and bugs, and glitches..)
So has anyone else noticed this weirdness?
