Fire in the Skies help
« on: October 22, 2013, 05:58:03 PM »
I am trying to trigger the dystopian future and one of the opportunities I need to do is convince 6 other sims that the sky is falling. I don't see how to do this. I don't get an option when I click on other sims.

It sounds bugged to me. When I did that opportunity, there was a yellowish orange option when I clicked on people to tell them. It may be that the certain people you are clicking on aren't eligible to tell, but it also could be a bug. You might check if any of your mods are causing it, too.

I don't have it yet, cause I get it a couple of days later, but I believe you need to make meteorites fall. The time almanac should give instructions on what to do.

I didn't get the gold dialogue balloon. I'll try taking out the game play mods and see if it works. Thanks for the help.

I can't get the option to convince them. I tried taking out the mod folder and disabling cc and still no gold balloon. I don't know what else to try.

I'm really sorry to hear about this bug. With the Almanac of Time working half the time and losing it in a save entirely, the popups about romance and this bug it feels like this was the least-tested EP. I have also noted that it seems you've got like a 20% chance of killing yourself with the jetpack. Be careful, people.

I disabled the mods I have and that made no difference. Even when reverting to a save before the event was triggered.

Emit Relevart is also glitched, asking him to change the future (to get the events) put the game in an endless loop and cancels the interaction only during the nightly "cleanup".

I wonder if it is normal to have multiple Emits in the relationship tracker. I have 8 at the moment! I never reseted the time continuum, although my Sims future was changed twice and her descendants remained in the low family funds shack with the same furniture, despite being rich after my Sim won the lottery a few times.

I found that when this particular part of the "Fires in the Skies" ("Convince 6 Sims") breaks, the stands at the "Fests" stop working too. No Sims are there at all, despite the opening hours.

I also noticed that while my main sim is in town with her car, the bot uses that same car while going out on his own.  :o That's not really a problem, but still surprising.

I really hope the bugs will be fixed soon!

Edit: After the fifth attempt there were protesters outside the town hall (after the Doomsday meeting). They could be convinced that the sky is falling.
