The Morning Town Jump Project
« on: December 01, 2013, 07:26:39 AM »
I stumbled upon this challenge last night while browsing the boards and thought I would give it a go. I've been trying the Immortal Dynasty challenge for the last month (up to gen 3!) or so and I wanted something different. I also wanted to explore each of the towns the game has to offer so this is a perfect challenge.

I did start this game as if it were a Dynasty in Isla Paradiso but didn't find many places for my acrobat to perform gigs so I moved to Aurora Skies. I'm going to randomize now and continue on.

Off I go to randomize my towns!

    BridgePort
    Isla Paradiso
    Lunar Lakes
    Lucky Palms
    Sunset Valley
    Twinbrook
    Appaloosa Plains
    Barnacle Bay
    Dragon Valley
    Sunlit Tides
    Roaring Heights
    Hidden Springs
    Midnight Hollow
    Starlight Shores
    Monte Vista
    Moonlight Falls
    Riverview

It all started in Isla Paradiso.

I had just moved there and started off with nothing but the clothes on my back and a few simoleans I had managed to save up to get me started in my new life.

This is me, Kalindi Morning.

I also go by the stage name, Kalindi the Graceful. You must have heard of me.

I was am destined to be a superstar. It's all I've ever wanted. With my charming, friendly and irresistible personality, it was pretty much a given. My parents used to tell me all the time that I was a natural born performer. And my athleticism doesn't hurt either.

I'd heard that Isla Paradiso had a lot of resorts and I figured I might find some gigs there entertaining all those vacationers. I didn't have any luck getting gigs at the resorts, so I performed for tips in the local parks, trying to get my name and face out there. That's how I met Doug.

We hit it off right away. He told me he was a Pisces and single. I told him how much I wanted to be a superstar.

We fell for each other pretty fast. He was confessing his love for me on our first date and I was all moon eyed right back.

It really was a whirlwind romance. Doug manned one of the food stands at the local festival and I performed there every day. We spent all our spare time together and after a while, I knew he was the one. I asked him out to dinner on a rare night off and proposed to him.

I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else! Doug was The One. Hopelessly romantic and ambitious like me, it didn't matter if he was a workaholic and his neatness meant we would always have a clean home.

He said no.

I don't remember exactly what he said. Something to do with his dead wife, not being ready and things like that. I smiled and nodded and suddenly discovered I wasn't feeling quite well and ran home as quickly as I could.

The next few days are a blur. I don't remember much of anything except deciding that Isla Paradiso wasn't working out for me as I had planned. Before I knew it, I had packed up my meager belongings and was headed to a new town and a new start.

Yikes. Poor Kalindi. I hope things work out better for her in Aurora Skies.  :(

Yeah, I was pretty shocked when Doug said no to Kalindi. I think it's because their relationship wasn't high enough at the time but I'm glad things turned out the way they did. I'm finding that the town jump is interesting enough to keep me playing but not micro managing everything like I tend to do in an Immortal Dynasty challenge.

There have already been some really interesting twists in this game file! I've got two more posts worth of story to prep before I can get back to playing :)

Oh, that's a clever way of telling the story! Loved the switch-up there. Congratulations, Adam and Kalindi!  :D

Thanks! I saw it in Schipperke's Immortal Dynasty first but I really liked the way she used different forms of communication in it. And it keeps things interesting for me!

I had to reinstall my game tonight and I lost my save file. It was corrupted and I didn't have a good backup either. I restarted with a Kahlindi look a like but it'll take me a couple days to catch up again.
