Volume suddenly loud
« on: October 28, 2013, 11:44:54 PM »
It's minor issue, but has anyone had the problem of the game volume being inconsistent?

I've had all my audio sliders really low and then suddenly "bam" the sim in the shower starts singing at full volume. This has also happened when I had all the game audio marked mute. I'm listening to something else, but then I'll hear the sim, singing in the shower. I think it started after I installed an expansion this month (supernatural), but I hadn't played for a while so I can't be sure. No mods and it started before I installed any store content.

I know it's a minor inconvenience, but if anyone knows a fix/cause, I'd be grateful. It's a bit startling to hear a sim singing in the middle of mythbusters.

This happens to me. I have to keep the Music volume setting for the game set to Mute, and I don't have the issue with volume suddenly exploding that way. It's not really a fix, since that means I can't hear music in the game. I also suggest making sure your game is fully patched (I use the patcher from ModTheSims and can link it to you in a PM if you'd like.) I used to have the game music come on even if it was muted, and instrument/TV/video games/etc would all be randomly loud, but haven't had those problems in a while. It could be a patch that fixed it, or one of the mods I use. I only have AwesomeMod, nraas' Overwatch and Error Trap, and nointro. So... -shrug-
