Hybridization - Mixed breeds by Dane
« on: October 30, 2011, 02:05:22 AM »
So I decided to compensate for my total lack of create-a-sim skills by creating new and interesting pets the old fashioned way: cross-breeding.  I'll be using this thread to bring you all my loveable little litters of mixed-breed goodness.

So let's get this started shall we?

Oh, sweet irony, deliver me from coincidence.

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Reminds me a lot of my friend, "Mozart", affectionately known as "Woofie" since the grandchild could not say "Wolfie".  Woofie was a great dog of mixed breed including the ones you show here but also had some Alaskan sled dog and wolf in his breeding.  He was a huge dog who thought he was a lap dog which caused us great amusement.  I miss him.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

These really are great! I want to see more. I've been working on cross-breeding dachshunds and Dalmatians to get the double-dapple color of my RL black and tan pet dachshund to look right. But I think some layering of coat colors might be easier. I'm not happy with EA's version of the dachshund either, so I've been playing with genetics of the small breeds to get a better one. Cross breeding is a great way to do it!

Do you think you can do this with cats? Your dogs are very very pretty. Just like real world pets, mixed breeds are always the prettiest.

This is a great thread, Danefaith!

Did the puppies age up with the curled tails?  Did they have the curled tails when they were babies?  I've had two Chows breed.  Both have the curled tails and none of the first three puppies had their tail.  I went into CAP to fix it.  I have a fourth puppy now and no curled tail on him, either.  I was starting to think that little puppies can't have a curled tail at all, then they age up with the tail they were born with, which isn't curled as an adult, either.
