Was told to reinstall Sims 3 by Origin for new games, launcher does not launch

So, I bought a bunch of the games on the Origin sale, Seasons, WA, Gen, and Ambitions but when I went to download the games, the Origin thing said that the DLC was not compatible with my game and I had to uninstall Sims 3. So I did and installed the new games, the 'y games' schtick says that they're all installed, but now when I try to play one of the games, the launcher refuses to open. Like, completely and utterly refuses, I only get a 'windows is trying to determine a cause' notice. If someone could help me out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
