Saving issue

I have a game file I was playing and it's been saving for over 10 minutes now. It's a life states dynasty so I can't exit without it finishing saving and I don't know what to do! I haven't had this problem before. I saved one or two sim nights before and it never took more than a minute or two to complete saving. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Has the circle thing in the center of the screen stopped spinning? Usually that means the game is frozen, for me.Also I have left my game 'saving' all night and wake up the next morning and it would still be 'saving'. I finally just have to shut down the program. If I were you, I would wait for a bit and if it is still doing that just close down the game. Hope this helps!

The circle is still spinning so I know it's not just frozen. I left it overnight too which I've done many times and never had any problems with. I would just try to exit out of the game but this is a dynasty so I can't do that. Thanks for the reply!
