No Sound from Bass

Has anyone ever had a problem with the bass not making any sound? I'm having this problem in Bridgeport and Isle Paradiso so far. I've tried replacing the bass and reset sim, but neither worked. Any ideas?

Fish don't make noise.  What is your audio source? Speakers? Headphones?

Are you talking about Bass as in fish or Bass as in the Cello or bass guitar? You need to clarify here.

The bass...as in the large, stringed instrument. I use either headphones or speakers depending on if anybody else is in the room. I get less grief that way.

Mines really quiet, but it does make a sound. Sometimes I have to zoom in really close. Probably not your problem, but worth a try.

Thanks for clarifying Kellie since the two are spelled the same. Go to your Options menu and see if you have your sounds turned on or active.

I've noticed that, too. And it's usually when there is another Sim present playing an instrument as well. Is that when it happens to you, too?

It happens all the time, even if my sim is playing alone. Kinda takes the fun out of this one...oh well.

Have you tried resetting the whole town? Sometimes the file can get so busy with different objects making sounds (like televisions, radios, etc) from the people in the town.

First open the cheat window by holding down Ctrl + Shift + C  (all three keys at once).
Type in testingcheatsenabled true and hit enter.
Then open the cheat window again, you would type resetSim *
