After a request from a client for an underground house, Twinsom realty is happy to present the Underwood.
From the road, this property looks to be little more than a raised garden area, but step closer and you will discover a well appointed 4 bedroom family home!
The first thing you see when you enter this lot is the pond and bridge. Closer inspection will reveal the pond is already stocked with koi. You can start fishing straight away! Behind the pond on the raised hill, you will find a generous well established vegetable garden.
Enter the front door on the upper level of this house and you will find a lounge area, kitchen, a delightful dining area with and outdoor feel and a large indoor pool area with hot tub. This pool area could also accommodate a modest gym area for the athletically inclined.

Continue downstairs to the next level and here you will find the master bedroom suite and three other bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own ensuite. Also on this level, is a rumpus room for the kids. It would be perfect to use as a music room.

Quirks
This house has a few quirks that should be noted.
Firstly, if you need to rotate the house when you first place it on a block, the fish spawners in the pond duplicate for some reason. If you have rotated the lot, go into buy mode and then buydebug and take a look around the lot to remove any excess spawners (there should only be two (one in each end of the pond) Go down and look at all the lower levels too. I’m not sure if leaving these will cause any problems, so I suggest removing the extras.
Ceilings – because of the way the game renders detail, rooms on the lower level (ie the bedroom level) only have a ceiling that shows where there is floor area directly above. Because of this, some rooms have a light coloured ceiling in some areas, but black nothingness in other areas. This does not effect gameplay in anyway, but can be annoying when taking photos from certain angles.
Because this house was built using the CFE cheat, there are a couple of quirks that are due to this. Nothing too serious, but still need mentioning.
There is a flowerpot at the top of the stairs near the front door. There are also pots at the bottom of these stairs and the set of stairs near the dining room. These pots are there for a reason and shouldn’t be removed. The reason? Sims can use these stairs to go up and nothing happens, but if they go down the stairs, when they step off onto the floor, they sink to their thighs and become stuck and can’t move. Sometimes they even sink down to the lower level. On a lighter note, the repo man will enter the house via the front door and get caught too if he uses them lol.
Another result of using the CFE cheat is that due to the living area really being built in a basement, the view of the house is sometimes messed up. For instance, someone in the pool area looking out should be able to see the sky and such, but unfortunately, all that is visible is the floor just outside the windows and the stairs. Anything beyond that is unseen.

Please note that all my builds are thoroughly inspected to ensure everything is in working order and that nothing gets in the way of your enjoyment once you move in. Any problems that we have been unable to resolve, will be documented in the properties description. If however you find something that has somehow slipped by the scrutiny of the building inspector and is not listed in the property specs, please advise me and I will look at resolving the matter ASAP.

I realize that this is a year old thread, and I hate to "necro" an old post (especially on my first post). But since there doesn't seem to be any way to send a user a "private message" on this forum, this is the only way I can see to try and get a bit more info about this build.

namely, you managed to do exactly what I've been trying to get to work, and this house is the only example I have found anywhere of someone doing thing. No guides, tips or advice I've found has been about this particular result.

HOW in the world did you manage to get that walk out/cutaway to work?
Even using the Constrainfloorelevation cheat I haven't been able to get the result.

I've found how to do a hill cut-away house using a "foundation-basement" technique, but that results in the foundation being visible on top of the hill.
And it's simple to make a basement house that is "hidden" under the grass, but the only way to enter it is a staircase going down.
But I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the best of both worlds so to speak. Hidden underground on top of the hill, visible "cutaway" section at the bottom of the hill with windows/doors

I'd be extremely grateful if you could give some detail on how you managed this using the CFE cheat.

Hello vashmoon and welcome to the forum. I'm glad you like my house. It was built a long time ago and I remember I followed a tutorial I think I found on MTS. I'll have a look and see if I can find the original tutorial for you. Also, you should be able to click on a member's name on the left and be taken to their profile where you also have the option to send a pm, although that feature may not be enabled until you have made 5 posts.

*edit* OK, I did still have the tutorial bookmarked in an older backup of my bookmarks. You can find the original tutorial here , be warned though, it is very image intensive so may take a little while to load. Also, you need to read down the thread a bit to get to the actual tute.

Thank you very much. I searched around a lot  for any tutorials like that and could not find any (other then ones that used the foundation-basement technique as I said before), I really appreciate you going to all the effort of digging up the link from your book mark-backups.

And yes, the ability to view member profiles by clicking the screen name is restricted to new accounts, I tried that before resorting to raising the thread from the dead, and it just tells me I am not allowed access to that page.
But hey, it's a great house and deserves a bit more attention, so maybe some others will spot it now.

*Edit/Update: That was JUST the guide I needed, and amazingly I was able to follow it. The house turned out, nearly exactly as I wanted it to. (turns out there's no way around those stairs going down into the open area, but that's a just minor adjustment to what I wanted to do). So thank you again!
