Unofficial Game Modification Warning?

So for the past three hours I've been wrestling with my computer to try to fix this. I keep getting the unofficial game mod warning when I start up the sims and it would crash. So I tried taking out all my mods and then cleared the cache. Even when my mods folder was completely empty it still gave me the warning and still crashed. So I took out the whole mods folder and it was fine. I recently factory reset my computer, but I've never had a problem with this beforehand. Please help me, I can't live without my mods LOL

I get the same warning every time I start the game.

This is how I get past it, maybe it would help you too:

So you know that, when you run the game using the launcher, before loading the EA logo it shows you a black screen and your mouse cursor loading. There, when I see that black screen, I hit ctrl+esc or the Windows button. It doesn't react immediately, but eventually the game is minimized and I can see the Unofficial Game Modification Warning, which prompts me to quit the game. Therefore, I am also shown the option to "Continue".

Myself, if I hit "Continue", the popup disappears, and when I restore the game window, everything works fine.

I haven't been using any mods since the last patch as I am playing a challenge file. Did you update to the latest patch, 1.57, I think? If so, did you update your mods?

Ooh thanks, I'll try that And I did update to the latest patch, but I also updated all my mods D:
