Pregnancy and Skin Colours

Just a quick thought I had, If I have a sim that is blue and another sim that is red, the two of them get together and have the kid, will the kid's colour be different to their parents?

The Skin can either be One or the Other or sometimes a Mixed shading, I think.

I have a lot of generational families with crazy skin tones.

Until the Ambitions expansion you would end up with one or the other, never a mixture of the two.  Now you can get a mixture.  I have never tried mixing red and blue though, but when my blue sims have children with regular Townies they will now be either the same as one of the parents, or a lighter colored blue.

You could always create a red and blue couple in CAS and then hit the play with genetics button when you create a child and see what happens.

You make two adult sims and then you can generate a kid for them.

I've never started out with a family before, that's a nice surprise. I checked it out and blue dad + red mom = blue or red kid, no purples.

Yeah, I think that's really sad, no purple babies... I think EA is really missing the mark on the genetics with that one, just think of the possibilities!

There's something too alarming about the red color (too many sunburns in my past, maybe). Purple would be a popular option, I bet.
