Finding The Pink Diamond

I am going nuts trying to find the elusive pink diamond.  My Sim has created the Miner and has, over the course of a few Sim days managed to dig up his back yard and several public places.  I have recently move the family to Island Paradise and he has made an absolute mess there!  Has anyone found a pink diamond recently and do you have any tips on where to look.  I looked in Carl's guide and see the transfigure process is used on other gems but will that work for the pink diamond.  I really want to "find" it though, but am getting desperate.

I'm sorry I might not be able to help find a pink diamond, but in my search for finding a rainbow gem, I started a test game with my sim family studying up on martial arts. Specifically the board breaker.

After they level up to be able to break space rocks well, the rocks will start breaking into gems. Which in turn give you a pink diamond if you stick with it long enough.

The only epic gem spawner I can find, not on a lot, in Isla Paradiso is attached to No Trouble Atoll on the path leading away from the lot to the beach.

If you have Pets EP, you can try to get a dog and teach him the hunting skill. Over the 2-3 sim weeks my Isla Paradiso family have the dog, Rex has found pink diamond, two "normal" diamonds, 2 soulpeace gems and 3 vampire's eye? (not sure if it's called that as my game is not in english). It's still random, but saves you some time as the dog is another family member searching for it.

I have found the board breaker the most reliable way to obtain pink diamonds without cheating.  But, it is random, you might have to break a lot of boards before one appears, then you could, if lucky, get three in a row.  If you don't mind a little manipulation, then, put a couple of extra tills in the consignment store.  Occassionally the consignment store has a  heart shaped  pink diamond available.  The more tills, the more chance.  A non cheating way to increase your chance of a pink diamond in the store is to buy everything from the store so that the store has to restock.  This method can be dreadfully expensive though as your purchases are seldom worth as much as you paid.  Good luck.

MrsFlynn, Ricalynn, Mahmeya and Wai...Thank you so much.  These are awesome suggestions.  I was only using the Miner my Sim built as the game help indicated the Miner was needed to find the pink diamond.  I really have not wanted to put in a spawner or use cheats (I do like to cheat with some things), so welcome these tips.  Look forward to trying all as my Sim still has to put some effort into it.  Learned a few things too,  did not know breaking boards would help or that a dog would hunt gems!  Also, have not played with the Consignment store much and would love to try that.  Again, many thanks!

If one of your sims has level 10 inventing and gets the quest chain for building a simbot, pursuing it up to the pink diamond requirement might help.  It doesn't automatically make a pink diamond spawn, unfortunately, but I think it will show you where one is if it does happen to spawn in the world.

The consignment store, board breaker, dog hunting, or werewolf hunting are probably easier and quicker ways to get a pink diamond.

I don't know about now, but in the beginning, it was possible to dig it out of a rich neighbor's garbage (at least in Riverview) or find it in the Catacombs.
