Can't discover friend's traits!

So my Sim has struck up a relationship with another sim.  The got really close really fast and he spent the night the day they met.  She uncovered 2 traits right away and they instantly were romantic interests.  After that the "get to know" option disappeared.  Several days have passed and still no more traits have been discovered.  There also haven't been any options to advance their relationship in any way such as "go steady" or "move in".  Any suggestions on what's going on?  Do I just need to give it more time?

Hello babydoll.

To get the "propose going steady" you have to do romantic actions until the other sim thinks of you as "irresistible"
The same with "ask to move in" you have to be "very social" if i remember correctly.
Correct me if I'm wrong tho.
The Happiness Reward "Observant" should also help you learning the traits faster

I dont know if its just me but sometimes service Sims seem to have less traits then other sims.
Could the Sim in question have commitment issues my third generation spare managed to get pregnant by her boyfriend but it didnt matter what i did i could not get the propose or move in option. She ended up moving out with the baby on her own.
They had another three children together and finally got married but it was ages after she moved out.

After what I've read on this site, is that there is a "glitch" where Sims lack some traits.

Can't say why it took so long before you could get them together Rachel. When you finally got them to marry, you should be able to see what traits the guy had. Did he have commitment issues trait? If not, it could be that he was in relationship with someone else.
I always use Get to know, ask for career and ask if single when socializing, and alot of chat of course

He was willing to make a baby but not get married, they eventually got married when i wasnt controlling her and she had left my legacy house. I checked on them today and they have split up still living in the same house but under partner for both of them now it says none.
I always find it interesting to see what my Sims get up to when they are out in the big wide world
