Consignment a skill?

Not in my present game (the da Vinci challenge).  My sim in charge of sales has just hit "excellent" reputation and the store took their usual commission, which I think was about 5%.

Is it the "Excellent" status when you finish that first consignment store challenge? I don't remember if you need a higher reputation than that. Maybe it's outstanding?

When you click on the skill journal icon (next to the skill bars) along the top of the screen that comes up are tabs for different skills, it's in there, but only if your sim has consignment experience.

My da Vinci sims just achieved Impressive status at the store.  The commission is now 1.5%.

If it's Impressive, then you've completed the first skill challenge. That's when the store should waive all fees.

What do you mean by the first skill challenge?  If I understand you, there are 3 challenges for the consignment skill:  Profits over $25,000 (which my sims exceeded some time back), Sales over 150 items (also exceeded some time ago), and Impressive reputation.  For some reason, at the top of the description it says Reputation:  Impressive, but at the bottom where the skill challenges are, Impressive reputation is greyed out, which seems rather contradictory.  This is my first experience with all this, so it really doesn't make sense to me.  But I know that the most recent commission was 1.5%.

Yeah, that's exactly the challenge I'm talking about — the first one that's listed that tracks reputation. I know when you achieve that challenge consignment store fees are waived. Carl and I were talking about just that fact last night. If your game is up and running, then save and exit it and see if the info gets smoothed out when your fire it up again.

I just went back and played another day.  It says Impressive at the top, but the Impressive Reputation challenge is still greyed out, and my sim just paid 1.86% in commission fees.  None of this makes any sense to me.

I remember that TommyT made a comment in a thread wondering if total sales through the consignment store was linked to that reputation. I wonder the same thing. I know with my da Vinci character I don't think that skill challenge was accomplished until I had pushed through almost half a million at the store. Kind of ridiculous.

My da Vincis have passed the half million mark - a week or so ago in game time - and that skill challenge remains greyed out.  Even though it says up above that the character has an impressive reputation and they are finally paying no sales commission.  And I am so far behind Metro at this point with no chance of coming even close - I'm thinking of dusting off my Metro doll and finding the pins!
