Moving New SIMS3 PC DVD

Help, downloaded The SIMS3 PC DVD to old computer but discovered that the graphics were not sufficent. Finally have now got a laptop and am trying to transfer the downloaded game to the laptop.  The problem is have limited download capacity and have maxed this out with the downloading on old PC.  Is there any way I can just transfer without downloading again? It takes 16-17 hours to download in first place!!!

I'm not sure I completely understand the problem. So please forgive me if there's a missunderstanding.

I'm assuming you're refering to downloading the Origin version of Sims 3? If so, I'd like to suggest you read this thread, written by Flynn Arrowstarr -

If you're using a physical disk all you need to do is take it and install it on the new computer. Using the same code you previously entered when you installed it on your old computer. No need to download anything other than updates.
