Can't order drinks

I have an opportunity that says to order a drink at a certain club. When I do the mixologist and my sim separate and go elsewhere. This happens whereever I go to order a drink. I know it isn't my computer cause every other action works just fine , in fact she can even converse with the mix.
Does anyone know if this is a bug or does anyone know how to fix this? I even tried reset and no difference

I understand this is a problem from the new patch, replacing the bar seems to fix it.

How do you replace them? Can someone tell me the steps...if you don't mind...having a major issue with this in the night spots of Union Cove. Thanks!

Two ways:  Own the venue and use the buy mode option or Turning on TestingCheats and then shift clicking the ground to "Buy on this lot".  Then in buy mode delete the old bars and place new ones in their place.

Thank you Ricalynn, I will try that...and last thing, can you tell me how to do a new save file or even just re-load a current file?  I guess I'm trying to go back to my game state before the last save with all the issues on it.  Thanks again!

If you patch up, you can't go back to a before issues.  The patch will have done it to all saves or are you having different issues than this one?  If so, that's for another thread as it's off topic for this one.

Ok, I am having this issue and I was just wondering how to do the saving or replacing file.  I am not sims tech savvy, so I don't know what patch up means...I just downloaded Union Cove for the first time yesterday and that is when all my issues started.

Is your launcher up to date to patch 1.55? Did you download the new patch prior to installing UC?

I just checked the launch and it says version 1.55.4.022001

That means you are completely patched for the game.  That's where the bar issue came from so nothing you do will revert it back to the point where you wouldn't have to do the above.

Bridgeport most likely won't be affected but yes otherwise for Union Cove you may have to.

I also found I can't do anything either. If I try to order a drink, food or have a conversation my sim and the bartender get displaced I tried to buy a new bar via edit town and cheat codes but then when I select it my only option is to detonate it.
