General question about town
« on: July 15, 2013, 09:01:54 AM »
Hi, after giving up with my previous question and built a new house for my sim I realised there is something I don't understand for a long while. If I create a sim - as a new game- and make a life for her/him, and then I would start another game with another new sim, why can"t I see my first sim'life? It's even possible to build the next house at the first sim's place - the same place. Looks like it hasn't even existed. Can anyone explain that for me and tell me how it is possible to have two sims that I created meet? On the other hand, those sims who have been in the game - and who I would perhaps change a bit-  since the beginnings can not be deleted. I've always thought about copying the town (and build mine) as a too complicated and unneccesary step/part of the game, but if I did that would anything change in this matter - with old sims and my sims that I created- ?
Thanks a lot for any help and sorry, if I seem a bit beginner.

You could go into your first game that you made, then go into Edit Town, create your second Sim, and add them into the town somewhere. You'd only be able to control one at a time, though.

Think of each save game as it's own universe.  When you start a new game, it's a new universe without your previous sim's existence.  If you want to continue in the same universe, then as the previous poster suggested, go into Edit Town, create your new sim, move them into a house or property and then choose to change households to the new one.  Your previous sim will then be controlled by the computer, just like the other townies and continue to live their life.

You could even merge the new sim into your current household and play them both.  Like if a cousin came to visit, or an old friend.  That sort of thing.

Oh, thank you so much! Much understandable. :) I had a guess that it was possible, just didn't remember how. Thanks once again.
