Why can't I place a nectar machine indoors?

I have been unable to set a nectar machine indoors, either in the basement or in a ground level room. It will set ok outdoors in the grass.

If you try to place it, it should give a message that says why, eg. can't intersect with other objects or can't be placed on a slope. What does it say when you try?

Thanks for the reply, the message said I couldn't place it because of other objects (or something like that). But there wasn't anything else in the rooms until I looked at the lights. I had used the kind of lights that hung down a little below the ceiling. I guess the nectar machines were so tall they were hitting the lights. After changing to lights that were flush with the ceiling the nectar machines worked fine.

I ran into the same issue when trying to move an alchemy table, it must be a newer feature or something.
