Rule Update: The following new rules have been added:

• You may use content from a Store World once it goes Retail in Stores, so far only: Barnacle Bay, Hidden Springs and Monte Vista.
• You may build on Houseboats, as long as the Lot Size Requirements are met.
• Blueprint Mode is Banned.

Hey there

May I just clarify one of the rules please?

"Custom Patterns from the Swap Shop and the Official Exchange are allowed, as long as a download link and credit is given to the original creator of the pattern. Patterns from other websites may not be used."

Does this mean patterns created using the CAP tool and ONLY the default patterns within that tool, or can I use some of my own patterns where I've imported patterns from google images and made into a Sims 3 pattern and uploaded to the Exchange?

As long as CAP Tool was used it's fine. For the Exchange it has to use the Tool and likewise for the Swap Shop.

Great, thanks for that. I've been avoiding using my patterns in contest builds because I didn't think they were allowed. I should have read the rules more closely
