Can't Find Sims 3 Folder

Are you still able to play with your folder having been moved?  Would you have been able to get your screenshots if you had just moved the folder itself instead of The Sims 3 folder?  The reason I say this is because it's simpler and I'm worried about your ability to play the game and use all features.

I never keep my screenshots in my Sims 3 folder anymore after this. I organize them and place them under My Documents by dynasty.  So much easier and I've never had a problem getting to them.

It would've been easier to move the entire folder, but when I tried to it made that copy. The copy does not receive new screenshots, only the ones that were already in the folder (since it's a copy, I suppose) It may have done that just to make sure I'd still have a copy in case anything funky went done, so I'll see if I can get the whole EA folder moved.

However, I am not having problems actually playing the game, even after moving the folder. *knock on wood*

Well, it appears that I spoke too soon. While moving the Sims 3 folder didn't lead to any issues playing the game, it still doesn't receive new screenshots. Could you explain how you moved your screenshots to a new folder? It sounds like that is what's going to work.

I literally just moved the photos after I played each time.   Just a simple move from one folder to another.  There is no way to get them to spawn anywhere but in the other folder so you have to manually move them but you'll know to do it before you try uploading from now on.  I'll mention this to Carl too.

The only problem with that is that I don't know how to move them.

There are two ways. 

Open two windows.  One of the Screenshots folder and one of the folder where you want them to go.  In the screenshots folder choose select all (Ctrl+A) and then drag them to the new folder.   Or you can choose to select all and "Cut them" using right click then "past them" into the new folder.

Thanks for the explanation, Rica. Everything's working so far, and now I know how to move the screenshots. Still haven't the slightest idea why the folder disappeared in the first place, but at least it's resolved. Thanks for the help, everyone!

This is the same problem I have been having.  I was searching on how to make a copy of the print screen of documents as Audren has so I could show what was going on.  From Start I can go to the sims 3 folder fine, but  when I try to go from the gallery I can't find it.  Fortunately, I found this thread that is discussing the problem and now I can try and see if I can get around the problem.
 
I am going to try what Rica suggested to see if that will work.  I don't know why I could put the photos on the gallery without a problem and then all of a sudden I can't do it anymore.

Crossing my fingers I can get it to work.  The grandkids are spending the night at a relatives house and so I have tonight to work some on it. 

Just wish it could be figured out why it is happening.

Well, Rica's solution worked for me, so hopefully things will work for you, too. Very strange that it happened and we can't figure out why.
