CAS cheat

I was wondering, for the cheat to take a sim to CAS, can that only be used on sims in the household, or can you use it on sims outside the household.  For instnace, I want to take a screenshot so I put in a register and wait for an NPC to man it.  Can I take that NPC to CAS, to change their clothes for the screenshot I want to take.  I realise that once Island Paradise comes out, this will probably be moot, but I'm still curious.

Yes, you can use it on them. I like to throw parties and make the town pretty.

Sweet.  Thanks a bunch.  Now to just get off my lazy butt and build my shopping center for my sims.

I use it all the time, combined with Nraas' map tags, I can choose any sim in town and modify them. This is how I eliminate any errors in the game regarding hair color (All the people in my one file SHOULD have blonde hair, but sometimes the game changes it

I use the CAS cheat on the zombies that show up at the house. In CAS they appear as their normal Sim Selves and I clean up the town fashion mistakes that way, one zombie at a time.
