It was in BB1 I think. I forgot to buy yet another crib and was busy trying to get Mom to sleep when I scrolled back to the toddlers, one was asleep on the floor. He only had the -30 sleep moodlet not the -40, so he didn't pass out.

That's the equivalent of what I call passing out for a toddler.  He was exhausted, but didn't have a bed, so he passed out.  They don't just "fall asleep" on the floor as a natural thing.

I remember in Sims 2 that the toddlers could put themselves to bed by sleeping on the dog bed, which made them quite self-sufficient except for eating.
According to Sims Wikia, they can also eat dog food out of pet bowls, so the toddler could pretty much take care of itself, except for diaper changes and pet dish refills.  :D

The eating dog food in Sims2 was so gross.  LOL  The dog beds were sort of convenient but rather sad to see them in there.  LOL  It was much harder in Sims2 to take care of the toddlers until all those conveniences came out.  I still shudder at all the bottles laying everywhere after the nanny was there.
