The Bauerhaus Legacy - A Study in Genetics
« on: December 07, 2013, 01:29:10 AM »
The pages of the diary below are written in a fluid, soft cursive. While the words are interspaced with pictures, it's clear the writer is feminine. As you flick through the diary, it's clear the entire volume is filled with pictures and notes. And that the handwriting changes in stages.

December 2013

Hello, my name is Amelia Bauerhaus,

And this is my husband, Panther.

And this is the story of our family.

Our legacy is simple enough - with some additions. Because all of us are so Ambitious, we've made one thing clear to our legacy - everyone needs to be the top of their Career, add a piece of property to the family, and Achieve their Lifetime Wish.

And be happy. Most of all, be happy.

Now that we've finally had the five kids Panther wanted (had I known before we married, this may have turned out differently), we decided it was time to get some family photos in front of the house.

It... was a little chaotic. Bran kept flinching, and I kept having to tell him to hold still. Bless his heart. I had to settle for taking portraits instead.

This is our son and heir, Seth. He's so handsome. I can't believe he managed to get his father's eyes. Sometimes I look at him and think this is what Panther must've been like. I managed to snap a picture of him and his father when he was a wee babe. After that, we had so many children that I was too busy caring for them all to take many photos.

Isn't he just darling? He gets so embarrassed when I show this photo.

Our next oldest is Kiara. She's more of a loner and loves to read and write. I don't think she'll ever leave home - she doesn't like to go out much.

After her, we decided to have another child. Imagine my surprise when we had triplets. Yes, triplets!

Starlet

Bran

Blanche

They're a rascally set of kids, and they've all gone off to boarding school for now. They all seem to be doing well. I hope they come home soon.

Since we had the photographer here, we took some quick photos of the homestead. I know it's a modest house for so many people, but we had to throw it up so quickly when they all came along. I hope our future generations will look at the house and think about how we started - just seven of us with garden to feed us, and Panther's wildly successful government career to keep us afloat.

It's not large, but it's lovely. And it's our homestead.

Oh, and before I forget, because this was another funny shot the photographer captured... Panther snuck a quick kiss as we were waiting for the kids to settle down, and embarrassed Seth. He turned away so fast while his ears turned red.

That's my boy.

Below is another handwriting, hastily written in more slanted cursive -
"This is the memory I like best of my dad - jawing at us to "Seriously guys, just settle down!"

Great start! All of your sims look great. I know this sounds like a generic comment, but I really mean it when I say I can't wait to see how things progress.

Thanks, Mizzilee! I have to say, one of my favorite things about this family is the really unique eye color/hair combinations. Wowza!
