Front of Lot designation

Is there a way to set where sims will go when they first step on the lot? I'm playing a legacy, and building their house. I'm building in Riverview on the 60x60 lot. My sims always walk to the far end of the lot where the mailbox and garbage can used to be before I moved them to the center.

There is, actually. All you have to do is turn on testingcheats, Ctrl+Shift+click the place you want them to go, and select the Set Front of Lot option. The Sims will walk there instead of the game-set front of the lot.
