I added him to household and he was gone after adopting him out. Reset sim didn't work.

I had some wild horses kept spawning inside an empty house. I had to re-place the lot (pick it up and put it down with the hand tool).

You can try activating testing cheats and deleting the horse by shift-clicking it.
