Stray animals keep shredding my newspapers

I think it's really annoying that stray cats and dogs keep shredding my newspapers.

Is there any way of making them stop do that without having to place a fence around my whole house or something?

(Not that I tried that.)

Well, you could put a fence around your front property.

I heard there are special gnomes that you can set to deter stray animals.

You could use the phone, and go to services and cancel the newspaper deliveries.

If you use the wildlife stray gnomes and have them deter strays, they will skip the paper shredding and move on straight to peeing on the gnome before walking off.

Another solution is to use your mouse to move the paper to a table inside the house after it's delivered since strays can't enter your home.

There is one for dogs, one for cats and one for wildlife.  They are available in buy mode under the pets> miscellaneous section.

You can also use the mouse to "drop" the newspaper straight into the dustbin, or to drag it to your sim portrait to place it in the inventory.  If you put it in the inventory it can be read anywhere you wish off property.
