need help with two households in the same save game
« on: September 09, 2009, 07:01:07 PM »
I saw this question asked in the other forum, but was directed here.  One of my Sims grew up, so I moved him out to start his own family.  This gave me two households in the same saved game.  I unchecked the "enable story progression", but this did not stop my household that I was not playing from continuing.  I had a toddler grow up in the household I was not playing, so I didn't get to pick his traits.  I switched to that household to play because no one was working on his skills, and in my other household, one of my Sims died!  What should I do to keep the non-active household from playing on it's own while I'm in the active household???  Please help!

Char,

Thanks for coming to the forum!   :D

I would think that turning off story progression would be enough.  Maybe that's some kind of bug in the game.  You could try turning off aging while you play another family.  That should at least keep the members of your other family from aging up while you're away.

I think it's really important to disable aging especially. This should stop toddlers from moving up at all so that you can take control of their development. I've seen complaints though, nothing is perfect about the system. I'll be curious to hear if you have any issues.
