Thanks.  I love Dragon Valley, my new favorite town.  I am sort of like Amber in my story, I would have loved to live in those times, even though there was ice cream truck in front of her house most the time, lol. :)

I would love to have the ice cream truck in front of my house every day, every hour is a good hour for ice cream! Lovely story about Dragon Valley, can't wait to read more.  ;)

After I got off the phone, I stood in the middle of my little apartment and wondered what it would be like to actually live in Dragon Valley, with that handsome man and actually live the dream.  I moped around the apartment and felt so alone.  I kept thinking of what that man had asked me and why he had asked me that particular question.  I didn't want to eat or do anything that I normally would be doing.  I thought maybe I will just watch TV and try to get my mind off of things.

I really wasn't paying that much attention, my mind was off somewhere else, when something caught my attention on the news.  "Local millionare turned down offer for building another skyscraper".  He went on to say that he was the only man that had built a horse ranch in Bridgeport and he was tired of smelling the stench of the city and he would have no part in building another high rise.  They showed a picture of his ranch that he had built
and since I had been in Bridgeport for a long time, I recognized the neighborhood.  Something about the story and the house peaked my interest, I wasn't sure why, but I had to find out.  I had always had a very active imagination and had always been curious about everything and this was no exception.  I got into a cab and went to where I thought this house was.  It was a gorgeous house and very big.  Why would a person want such a huge house?
And then I saw the white horse and thought I was going to faint.  He looked identical to the horse in my dreams.  There is no way this could be the same horse.

It was close to sunset and it was such a gorgeous sight to behold.  I stood there and just stared at the white horse and really felt kind of silly, but it felt like my legs were cement and I couldn't even move them.  When I finally got my bearings, I started walking towards the house.  That is when I saw him.

I got this house here on the forum and I should have written down who built it, so I just wanted to say thank you and it fit this story very well.  If you recognize it, please let me know.

I just stood there, hoping that if I stood real still, he wouldn't see me.  That was kind of a silly thought, it didn't work when I was a child, why would it work now.  I decided to greet this man and find out more about him. We shook hands and I got this thought about kissing him and thought better of it, silly girl.

We stood there and looked at each other, for what seemed like forever and he asked me if we had met before.  I wasn't sure what to say and just said that it was possible. We talked like we had known each other forever and he had the same intoxicating eyes of the man in my dream, could this be fate?

I walked over to the window.  I had to catch my breath.  Is there such a thing as love at first sight?  What force drew me here?  Do I dare tell this man, which I learned his name was Daniel, about my dream?  Would he think I was nuts?

I felt another presence and realized the white horse was behind me.  I turned around and he came up to me and nuzzled me and I petted his neck.

Daniel said that it was strange that Stiles took to me so fast, that usually he was a litte skittish with strangers, then he got a strange look on his face and came over to me and took my hands in his.

He said, "I do know you and already knew I loved you when I saw you walking up the drive.  I don't know what is going on, but I think I had a dream about you."  He gazed into my eyes and I knew right then, that we were destined to be together.

Daniel put his arms around me and I felt so safe and secure and knew I didn't want to be anywhere else at this moment or maybe the rest of my life, except maybe Dragon Valley.

It all happened so fast, I barely remember anything.  First he was down on one knee and the next thing I knew, he was putting a ring on my finger and we were husband and wife.  I nearly fainted.

After some more gazing into each others eyes, I was dead on my feet and Daniel said, "lets go inside and get some rest, tomorrow, I have a surprise for you."  When I walked into the front door, I saw the suitcase and wondered if he had just come back from somewhere or if he had planned on going somewhere.

It was a gorgeous house inside and outside, but I was so exhausted, I was silly.  I hope this is not another dream and I am going to wake up in my apartment, I don't think I could take it.  The bed felt like heaven and as I was drifting off, Daniel was watching me and I knew that this was real.

The next morning, when I awoke, Daniel served me coffe and rolls in bed and I thought, ok, this had to be a dream.  He sat down on the edge of the bed and talked while I ate.  He said, "I told you I had a surprise for you and I hope you like it.  I found a smaller house for us.  You said you didn't want to live in Bridgeport anymore and I found a little town I hope you are going to like.  I even have a house for us to live in."  He wouldn't tell me where, but somehow, I knew.  We got dressed, he packed up what he could, loaded up Stiles, stopped by my apartment and off we went.  I didn't even give it a thought.  I called my family as we were driving and needless to say, they were shocked, but I think they were happy for us.  After what seemed like forever driving, Daniel said we were home.  Oh my gosh, he had found Dragon Valley and it was exactly like my dream.  We pulled up in front of a darling house with a chicken coop and a barn for Stiles.

Daniel pulled me close and kissed me and said, "welcome home."  After we got untangled, I had to look around and I kept pinching myself to make sure I was still awake.  I don't think I could be any happier.  Then I saw it, a dragon egg.  I had missed Iggy and was hoping it was a little purple dragon.  I talked to it and carried it around for a while. I set it on the ground and the little egg came alive and out came my little green dragon.  He was just as cute and I already loved this little guy.  I named him, Iggy2.

We spent the rest of the day enjoying each others company, laughing, getting settled and just being together.  Later that evening, Daniel said, "lets go look at the stars."  That is something you couldn't see in Bridgeport, with all of the buildings and bright lights.  I told him, I would love to.

After some time, I pointed towards the sky and said, look, a falling star, lets make a wish.  Daniel said, "I don't have to, my wish has already come true."

Needless to say, we lived in Dragon Valley for a very long time and had many kids, which goes to show, "Dreams really do come true."

Despite that the story was short, the ending was beautiful and the dragons were lovely. It was so much fun to read your story.

Thanks for the comments.  I like short stories, because I tend to lose focus and seems like I don't finish longer stories, lol.  I think that is all my brain can handle.  I like to write, but I go blank and can't seem to come up with anything after a while. :)

Hmmm, that could be interesting.  Will have to play it and see.  That could make for a good story. :)
