Can I Play Sims 3 and Expansions?
« on: April 27, 2013, 08:03:25 AM »
I have recently (yesterday) purchased Sims 3 and all expansions from steam.
I have 2.8 Ghz core 2 duo processor, 2 GB RAM, 1 GB graphic card (ATI) and 2 TB Hard Disk.
How many expansions can I run together? Can I run all of them together? If not, please give me best combinations of Expansion Packs.
Also are Stuff Packs worth my money?

PS:I cannot upgrade my pc .

With 2 gigs of ram, you will probably be able to put a few expansions in, but if you tried to run them all, you will get some considerable lag and gameplay issues.  I had 2 gigs for quite some time and when I got to generations and expansions after that, I finally had to install more ram.  I only have 4 gigs now and everything is fine. :)

Stuff packs do not alter game play,  so they shouldn't cause much problem. They July usr have hair, clothing, and furniture. We can't really give recommendations because it's personal preference. I suggest looking at what stuff packs are available and see which ones interest you. Carl's Guide has information on stuff packs.

Can you run it?

-Get your complete report in seconds including upgrade suggestions for your computer.
-Only your system's hardware and system software are evaluated.
-No personally identifiable information is collected.
-Works on Windows XP, 2000, 2003, Vista, 7 and 8.
-Works with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome browsers.
-You will need to give your permission to download a secure ActiveX/Java browser component.
-You can easily uninstall the ActiveX/Java browser component when the analysis is complete.

How it works
This site provides a One-Click solution that looks at your computer's hardware and system software to determine whether or not your current system can run a product. Each of your computer's components is evaluated to see how well it meets the minimum and recommended requirements for specific products. Recommendations are made on how to update or upgrade each component which does not meet the listed requirements. Sometimes, a simple, free software download is all that is needed. Sometimes you'll find that you need a different video card to fully experience what the game has to offer.

I've used it myself. Sorry if i'm not allowed to link to stuff like this..

It helps, but 2 GB is the bare minimum.
