Gaea's dress is actually a store item.  I believe it's called Aurelia's dress.  I just recolored it to her favorite color.  I highly recommend rereading it and then reading the rest of the series ^^  And thank you.  Keep your fingers crossed for me in this madness XD

It is with a heavy heart, and a lot of cursing inward that I have to say I have to start over... not because I failed, but because somehow, all of my Sim files are bad.  The backups as well.  It's like it no longer recognizes them as a Sims 3 file...  I don't know what to do.  I followed all the instructions on the topics in question... Unless someone has a suggestion, I'm going to have to start from scratch, having even lost my Sim Bin sims and even downloads seem to not be recognized.  Had to go to the store and redownload them.  I truly don't know how it happened... and I am so disappointed.  That means not just this story, but my other two as well...  I'm going to give it a day, see if anyone has any suggestions, otherwise, this and my other stories will be put into the graveyard.

I would love to help, but I'm afraid I'd need more specific information. Are you getting an error code? Or crashing? Or are the saves not showing up when you load up the game?

When I pasted the save files into the new Sims 3 folder and booted up the game, it showed all my saved games were present.  But when I clicked on them to load, it brought up the loading screen, but just a few seconds later everything went blank and then a dialogue box came up saying that there is a problem with the file; it didn't seem to recognize it.  I compared the old file with a current one and there seem to be no differences so I have no idea why there's an issue.

Yes, rain is enabled.  And it's only when I go upstairs, it seems.  I can go down to the basement, save fine.  I can go to the first floor and save fine.  But as soon as I do a build on the second floor then go back to live mode to save, it starts to save, then crashes to desktop while it's saving.

No fear! That's an error with seasons and happened to me once in another game. There's a walkaround : go to edit town, move out the household with the house, then bulldoze the lot and place the house there again.

You'll have to ask the challenge team's permission though:), or simply not build more than one floor, like I do.

Thank for the tip Ve1ocity... however, there's the problem now of the save no longer working at all.  I did start a brand new game, from scratch since I lost everything.  Not sure when I will get a chance to get a story of it up.  Unless by some miracle I can figure out how to even get my saved game back... then this will have to be moved to the graveyard since the new file is quite a bit different than the last one.  In some ways, it's been a bit easier, in others, not so much.
