Help with downloading store content

I've recently bought a new computer and I need to re-download all my store content. I managed to download and install Riverview, Lucky Palms and the Pets registration gift yesterday, but today, nothing will download. Each thing gets about half way through and then I get an error notice. I've tried restarting my computer, logging in and out, etc, but nothing it working. Is this a known problem? Is there a way I can fix it? In terms of money, there is a lot of stuff so I'd hate it if I couldn't use it again!

(By the way, I've been going into my purchase history to download)

EDIT: My computer is a Windows 8, my game has the most recent patch (1.50) and I have no mods or custom content.
EDIT (2): I've noticed that worlds (excluding the two I mentioned), hair and some clothes won't work, but most clothes and furniture do download fine.

Ouch!  It sounds like something in what you already downloaded has glitched itself up.  If it were me doing it, (and I just did have to do this), I'd first check to see if you have a data challenge issue.  Go into your Downloads folder and see if there are TWO long numbers at the top.  If there are, remove them and restart your game. 

I found I had more problems when re-downloading from my purchase history.  You can try going into your game, when it gets to the main menu, just click on the blue options button, (bottom of screen, left side, three dots on top), and select Open Downloads Dashboard.  You can download, and install, directly from there.  It is a bit tedious as it lists every single item separately, even if they were bought as sets, and it can be slow.  However, it was accurate for me and I didn't have to wait for the little blue installing box to finish it's job.

Hi Snufflesxx,

I've heard of having problems with downloading store content, and experienced it too.  Hubby wrote this in hopes it would help others having issues with the store content.

I've fixed the problem! It was actually my new Norton virus protection software. I think it was blocking files larger than a particular size and that may be the reason that hair and worlds wouldn't download, as they are larger.
