What makes each town special?
« on: October 31, 2013, 09:49:07 PM »
I was thinking of my story project and I got to wondering, what makes each town special, what sticks out about each town?
Dragon Valley is easy, the dragons.  For IP it is the mermaids, the hidden islands, diving for treasures
For AS it is the northern lights, the educational center to some extent, for some the hot air balloons.
SN, Moonlight Falls, it is the supernatural aspect, witches, vamps, weres, fairies.
MV to some extent the feeling that you are in Italy
AP is the town for Pets and the animals, the feeling to some extent that there is a connection to the "old west".  Ranching, cowboys, type environment.

I don't have any of the others, but I am going that Lunar Lakes is that it is on the moon, Lucky Palms is a type of Los Vegas.

But what about Riverview, Sunset Valley, what makes them special?  Or some of the other towns that I don't have, Bridgeport, Barnacle Bay, and others.  What stands out about them?

I stand for Sunset Valley. In my opinion, well for veteran Simmer who also play The Sims and The Sims 2 will known about their favorite characters here. As The Sims 3 is set as prologue before The Sims and Sunset Valley is one of them.

Timeline: The Sims 3 - The Sims - The Sims 2

You'll know more the background about the famous Landgraab, Bachelor, Goth and more recurring characters from The Sims and The Sims 2. So, Sunset Valley is best describe as storytelling purpose as you can see more background about their family, well yes family tree things if you're into that storytelling aspect and you want to create your own story about them.

Other than that I don't know. I just love looking into their story, maybe others can help you :)
Just enjoy being yourself, you're unique, special and no one ever create story like you ♥ - Luna -

Barnacle Bay was the first island town; also has a pirate connection and the pirate ship diner. Bridgeport is the big city; Riverview the small farm town. Sunset Valley is basic suburbia, probably somewhere in California. Sunlit Tides was the first island paradise before we got Isla Paradiso, and Midnight Hollow is the dark, horror movie town. Twinbrook is another small town, supposedly in the swamps of Louisiana.
