Invite sim over problem

My sim has invited his good friend over, and despite saying that she will come, she never turns up! There is no notification to say that she has changed her mind, until my sim goes out, hours later. I have tried resetting her, and deleting the caches and restarting the game, all to no avail. Any ideas?

I found her - or rather she found my sim, and found the problem. She's paparazzi. An inadvertent problem of using the relationship transmogrifier - normally I wouldn't befriend the paps.
