University won't load after loading screen

Today I tried sending a Sim to University, no problems, no issues. Standard procedure. Got to the loading screen and that's it. The screen sat there, playing the music and continually cycling through the tips. Half an hour I sat there the first time... waiting for it to load, the second time I tried, I was there for just under an hour. The music still played and the tips still cycled.

I minimized and went into the Task Manager, it said the Sims 3 was running. I had to End Task to reload to see if I could identify the problem.

I have had minimal issues with University, that have been solved. This is totally new. I use Mods that are fully updated. I sent my Sims father to University last week with no problems, which is why I cannot understand why I now have this problem. I am hoping there is a simple solution as I have tried and re-tried my game so many times.

I'm just wondering if it might be the Gothic collection (from the EA store) Tablet that is in her inventory causing issues. I will try it, but if anyone has any other ideas, I am all ears and eyes.

I am having similar issues. It is very frustrating.  I also, when I do make it there, have error code 12 issues.  I am having fun just being at University.  My main focus of playing at this time is to explore everything there so I am trying to complete all of the University Life Achievement Badges.  So, though I am not making any real progress in my game file because the game crashes to desk top or because I cannot save it, I am still having fun and making progress on the badges.  I also have the Multitab in my inventory.  Let me know if removing that helps.
