Married sims in love, no pathing problems, won't woohoo
« on: April 07, 2013, 02:06:43 PM »
Is there anything else that can affect this?  I have tried with two different new games, starting off with a married couple, maxed out their relationship, got them to "extremely irresistible," but then when either party tries to progress to woohoo, all of a sudden the other one's all like, "what kind of a Sim do you take me for?" and refuses to continue.  No problems getting to the bed.  Won't do it in the shower either.  Won't do it if I get them on the bed with "extremely irresistible" mood and make them cuddle first.  Still won't do it if they're in a good mood, although it's early in the game so they can't quite get to an ideal mood (of course, part of the point of woohoo is that it's fun, and puts your Sims in better moods).

Is it because the room isn't pretty enough?  Is it a mood issue?  Are my Sims not batting for the necessary team?  (These were both same-sex couples, but they were willing enough to make out, whisper in ears, massage, etc.)

It's driving me nuts!

No ideas about the cause, but I have the same problem every so often.  I resolve it by having one sim ask the other on a date first.  Especially if it's a new game, they might be married without having the other for a romantic interest.  The start of the date usually makes that happen and then allows woohoo to take place without a problem, at least for awhile.

If you are trying to get them to woohoo on the same day you placed the household (week 1 day 1), it won't happen for some odd reason. Wait until day 2 and it shouldn't be an issue, at least in my experiences.

The weird thing is, for one of the attempts, I did get them to woohoo once after a lot of trying, using the cuddle on bed technique.  Then they flatly refused ever to do it again, even though one of them had a wish to do it.  Was he that bad at it?  Sheesh.   ::)

I'll try the date thing, though, that's a good idea.

I had this exact same issue when playing my babyboomers file. I used the cuddle on bed technique to work around it and 1 or 2 days later it was no longer an issue. Maybe they just feel like they don't "know" each other enough yet? ::)

But relationship is maxed, and they wouldn't do it after a week, with much chatting in between. I don't know how much better they could know each other!  Cuddle on the bed worked once, with great reluctance; thereafter, they were having none of it.  "WOOHOO?! After we have been lying on the bed together canoodling and making out for an hour and we're totally committed and in love and turned on? LE GASP, I CLUTCH MY PEARLS. YOU DIRTY SIM, LEAVE ME ALONE."

I deleted that game in frustration.  Trying again, again.  Maybe they sincerely don't like the decor.  It was a small room with minimal furnishings.

I have had this happen too, at the beginning of the file.  Are your sims outside when you're trying to get them to woohoo?  I have found that they don't want to woohoo when they're in the heat, so I bring them both inside first and then I'm usually ok.  The only other time it didn't work for me was when one of them was a supernatural and the other was a human.  It aggravated me so I switched the fairy to a human too and it was fine.

I am trying a new game.  I gave them a nicer room, with a radio, and had them go on a date.  Harp music!  I guess Sims want you to buy them dinner first.  ;D
