Item stuck in sims inventory

I just have a small problem. It's not really game damaging, it's just an annoyance.
I went to the scrapyard and collected up the ruined furniture that was scattered around. I picked up an ornamental globe and it was placed in Leighton Sekemento's (spelling?) inventory and now it won't come out. I can't sell it or delete it or drag it out. So if anyone has any ideas how I can move it out of his inventory, they would be greatly appreciated

It's a bug.  I've had it happen several times, too.  I'm unaware of anything to fix it.

Well mikey. At least your sims aren't stuck with teddy bears in their inventory all through their lives xD like mine. I wouldn't be able to go outside if I had a teddy glued to me

I have just had the same issue - one sim somehow ended up with mail from uni in his inventory (despite being in a dorm, heard this happened if they rented) and another sim has a book stuck in the inventory :/

Hope a patch fixes it soon.

Sometimes traveling can unstick items. I always have problems with getting motive mobiles stuck in inventories, but after traveling, they'll fix themselves.

As for the stuck mail from Uni, I don't think it matters if you rent or live in a dorm. It's a general travel bug that has been around since before UL (I think it came with patch 1.42).
