Vampire/fairy mix children quick learners?

So whenever I get a supernatural child who is a vampire mix (vampire/fairy in my case) the kid picks up skills like crazy, sometimes just having to touch the "shapes -toy" to master it, for example, and the same thing with the building-blocks as a kid. The kid can also master painting and the logic skill within (real) minutes, and the teen has, so far, had the same result with athletic, and 'brewing' (sorry, can't remember the English word right now). It's not true for ALL skills, though, although the others seems to be learned SOMEWHAT faster. A friend of mine has experienced the same thing, and my question is; anyone else? And is it a glitch or built into the game? I mean, vampires gain skills faster at night, that's built into the game, but this is VERY fast... It's both fun and... weird...

I've noticed that "born vampires"--that is, vampires who are the children of vampires, born that way--pick up skills at a ridiculous rate. Much faster than "turned vampires" and at any time of day. I don't think they will learn skills from books at that rate though because books don't accelerate normal vampire learning.

Ah, so "pure" vampire children too? I haven't had one of those yet, but I will... Hmm... can it be a bug then, i wonder?

Skilling for vampires is supposed to be that fast. It doesn't matter if the parents are mixed. If the child born is a vampire, it's a full vampire. The game doesn't mix the supernatural states, so your Sims are not a vampie-fairy mix. Thay are just vampires or just fairies.

Does that vampire keep all of the vampire skills and difficulties after turning into a fairy?  But even so, it doesn't change the fact that a child born of two supernaturals will be one or the other, not a mix.  It won't be a vampire/fairy hybrid.

I've had similar results.

There seems to be multiple skilling rates at play, including:
1)  A hyper-fast rate unique to vampires who are born vampires.  It applies to some, but not all skills.  For example, a born vampire child did not seem to learn fishing any faster.  Born vampires do not learn toddler skills any faster than others, but children skill up on blocks and complete homework at hyper-rate.
2) An enhanced rate that shows as double plus signs on the skill bar.  Turned vampires as well as other Sims under the effect of an applicable fairy aura can learn at this rate.

Oh, and to add to that list of things born vampires learn quickly, I have taught vampire teens to drive in the time it takes to walk from the house to the street. Less, even.

It's a bug though. I know vampires are supposed to learn faster than humans, but I had a similar experience with 2 characters, one made in CAS another born through vamp/werewolf parents. Both saves ended up with a kid/teen mastering skills in a matter of seconds.

What is even worse is that this bug tends to spread to the whole town (all vampires in your neighborhood that is), so they will master skills within seconds as well.

There are mods that can help, though I used to move them to a different world as a (temporary) solution
