Sims 3 won't play custom music on my lot?

Hi!

Strangely, the custom music can be heard when played on other lots in a neighborhood, but whenever I switch to the Custom Music channel on MY lot, it's pure silence! Whenever I switch to other stations, the music is heard normally.

Don't bother asking me about where I put the music and whether they're MP3, everything's good (my music CAN be heard on other lots, anyway).

I heard about a glitch where if you left (or some other Sim) the Custom Music station turned on on their lot, it may prevent you to play it on yours. What do you suggest?

Does anyone know what the problem may be?
I can't seem to hear the custom music on my lot, but whenever I turn it on on another lot, it can be heard normally. Any ideas?

Have you exited the game and restarted? And did you turn off the stereo and turn it back on?

Thanks for the reply! This problem occurred again after starting the game again the next day, and it did occur after restarting the game within the same day, too. Also, it has been happening even after turning the stereo on and off. The last time I was at my friend's lot in the same neighborhood, I saw he had a stereo turned on (playing Custom Music). Maybe I should go to his place and turn it off  . I heard that may be a problem.
If that doesn't work, I don't know what will... Reinstalling the whole game? I have all the expansions and stuff packs, so it would be a pain in the butt. 

Any other suggestions?
