Seem to be having a problem with 2 opportunities.

Hello all, My Sim (leader of the free world) seems to be unable to complete her Career ( It's your Life) and Skill opportunity (Book Donation).
For the career one, she has written a Lifestory and have the book in her inventory but it isn't completed when she's gone to work, am I missing something out here?
Same goes for the "Book Donation" opportunity, I've put in her inventory more than 3 books which she has written in the past , but the game says I don't have the required items in my inventory. Any idea why?

I wish I had an answer for you.  I also had this same problem when I was trying to do a recent challenge.  I sure hope someone comes along that can help us both.

Have you tried putting them in your family inventory instead?

Ok well, I got my sim to write another life story and got her to collect a copy from the mailbox herself, which was the only thing I'm doing different this time. The last time another member of the household collected it instead and put it in her inventory.
Perhaps the same applies for the Donating Books too but I removed that opportunity by accident.

I've had this same problem before, but it's been a while back.  I don't remember who retrieved the books from the mailbox.  I'll have to be more aware of that next time.
