Benefits for Sim already with career

My Sim is Mess Hall Server Military level2.
I heard if graduating Uni with Grade A, Sim can start level 4 in career and have 2.5x salary.

Will my Sim become lvl 6(promotion accumulated), 2.5salary

OR

Still only jump to lvl4 regardless, salary 2.5x?

You'll still start at level 4. And I think you will have to quit  your job and then 'Upload resume' (or something similar) on the phone or the option won't come up.

My first sim who went to Uni returned home today after graduation.

When she went off to school, she was level 3 culinary making $39 an hour. When she came back, I got an option to upload my resume. After that, I was automatically level 4 culinary and making $117 an hour.

My sim was already Lead Actor and I enrolled him in Fine Arts degree because it will increase his earning in film career. When he graduated, his salary wasn't increased yet. After he made it into Superstar Actor, he makes $5,740 a day, instead of $2,256 without degree.
So if after being graduated doesn't increase your salary, I think the raise will be given after next promotion.
