Question about cd transferring

I wasn't sure where to put this question. So I put it here. Do saved games transfer on the cd? So can you play a certain family between 2 computers. As an exapmle can you play a family on you desktop computer and then put the cd into you laptop. Play the family there, save it , and put the cd back into you desktop to play there an have the new and uptodate of the same family. Or via versa. Do you get what I mean. Ok thank you.

No, nothing is ever saved to the CD. All save files are in the Sims 3 folder in the My Documents folder on your computer. To transfer between computers, you would need to put the save file onto a flash drive and then place it in the appropriate folder on the second computer.
