Help with downloading patterns

Not sure this is in the right spot, but,
When I put my patterns into my 'downloads' folder in the sims 3 folder, it doesn't come up in the download tab in the launcher. help?

I think you might just have to double click them and they should install without needing to be in the downloads folder. I am not entirely sure though.

Would you please change the subject of this topic to something more specific?  "Help?" doesn't really say anything about what you're asking about and it's important that subjects be descriptive.  Thanks.  :)

Well, I know absolutely nothing about making patterns, but I do have some IT friends and I thought of their favorite quote, "Here let me google that for you."  So I did.

I watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gLYHgrHkps about patterns and it seems as though at 3:40 the person opens the options menu and clicks export from that menu.  I will welcome correction if I'm wrong, but I believe that is the missing step needed to get your finished patterns into your launcher and ready for upload.

I hope I could help, and remember to put up more clear titles, that way you'll get more knowledgable help than me LOL
